Google released the Panda 4.0 that is specifically targeting in press release spammers. As a results of this update, lots of popular PR websites got hit and lost a significant amount of website traffic.
Well, that's not entirely true; press release submission continues to be a good way of generating traffic and leads; it all depends on however you use it and implement it into your SEO campaign. just like guess posting and commenting, relevancy is that the key. you should not build links from alternative sites that aren't related to the nature of your business.
If you think about it, the Panda 4.0 is for spammers. As long as you're not spamming, your sites are impossible getting penalized.
